Biophysical Profile (BPP) test done today

Today was a big day for us. We have made it to a stage where we start weekly testing for 5 different things with each baby. The BPP tests movement, muscle tone, practice breathing, heart rate and amniotic fluid. Each test scores a max of 2 pts with a total of 10 being the highest they can score. Ours both scored 10's. The test can take 1.5hrs as they allow 1/2 hour per baby to achieve what they need to via ultrasound and then a 1/2 hr on heart monitors. Ours both cooperated and we were done in 1/2 hour total.
This test is done on the Maternity floor at the hospital.

After this was done we went to my clinic up the street from the hospital. At the clinic we had a growth ultrasound. Both babies did well with this test too. Baby A is weighing in at 4lbs 6oz and in the 53rd percentile. B is weighing in at 4lbs 9oz and in the 61st percentile. We got a good look at Baby B's face and I have to tell you that it looks perfect!! It even looked a little chubby compared to the last viewing we had of this baby. Baby A was facing into my body so we didn't see that ones face.

All went well with the remaining part of my exam so for now, we proceed as normal.....another BPP and OB check next Tuesday. My OB did send a request to the hospital for them to call us and set up our c-section date as both babies continue to be breech. 5 weeks at the most until we meet these two!! :)
