Remember that post that said we were 33 weeks and doing great? Well, we were doing great.....until......I will give you a quick recap of our weekend leading up to the surprise meeting of our babies.
Randy's 39th birthday was Friday, March 12th. We didn't do much since I was so pregnant but, I did offer to take him lunch from one of his favorite sub shops to try to make it up to him in some way. I called him when I got to his office and he asked that I come inside stating there was a surprise for us there. When I entered the office, there were several of his co-workers that had thrown a surprise baby shower for him/us. It was so awesome to see how many people were there to show their support for Randy and our soon to be new family. (If you are reading this, your thank you's will be a few weeks late! Sorry...we got a bit sidetracked.) That night Randy came home and we reopened all of our gifts and again felt so blessed. We both were curious to know when "our moment" would happen. When would we meet our babies?
The next day, Saturday, we went to a nice lunch at PF Chang's to celebrate the birthday. (We had to spread ourselves out so I didn't over-do things) At lunch we daydreamed about how our future was going to change....in a few weeks......That afternoon, Randy suggested we go to church to reconnect. Upon entering the church, we saw baptism signs everywhere and coincidentally there were 2 baptisms that evening. Again, we went home daydreaming about the day that our babies would be baptized.
